5:01am! Why am I awake?!?! I slept a few hours, then I woke to use the bathroom. I'm back in bed, however, yet to return to my restful bliss. So before I do, I think I will share a random thought.
A concept has been resonating with me lately. The same concept has been repeated at church, in variation, this week and last week. As we approached and began 2011 I noticed, and participated in, an overwhelmingly popular mantra identifying this year as the time people began to recoup, recover, or receive the things they have been diligently working or patiently waiting for. I am inclined to believe that decree...with one small disclaimer. I think my dear pastor worded it nicely today: "You have to be in the right position at the right time. You can be in the right PLACE and wrong POSITION [and not get what you've been desiring]."
We have to ensure that we are walking in the perfect will of God. It is way too easy to lose focus and deviate. Stay the course! Make sure you are positioned exactly where you should be.
Let's say I'm standing under a window, but off center to the left. Someone pours a bucket of water out of that window. Yes, I will be splashed by the water, but not soaked (overflow, exceeding abundance, getting all of it) as I would if I was properly position directly under the window.
Don't get weary my loves. Encourage one another to not settle but hold on. Do not lose your proper positioning...stand centered under the window...awaiting the outpour.
With love,
Me
